If you know who Swami Rama is, you will surely enjoy this collection of "Swamiji" stories as told by his devout disciple, Justin OBrien. And if you don't know him, this book will introduce you to a guru extraordinair.
Swami Rama came from India to America with a mission to bridge the gap between East and West, and in the process accomplished some incredible feats. In this book, you will read of the miracles of a Saint, and the growth of his disciple, Justin, as told in a delightfully entertaining fashion.

Great adivce for any parentAs a first time parent, I don't always know the correct response to my 15 month old and her actions. This book has been a life saver! It is easy to read and understand. I feel as if Dr. O'Brien is talking directly to me. My favorite section is the note area at the end of each chapter. It has been very interesting to look at notes from previous months and see how much my daughter has changed. I recommend this book for any parent who wants to try and understand their toddler better! Thank you, Dr. O'Brien

Average review score:

3 1/2 year old boy LOVES this book!We found this book at the library and fell in love with it. It's fun to read as a parent, and my son loves to hear it and join in. It's rip-roarin, boot-scootin, west texas fun! It's a story about Mama's famous chili that is entered in a chili contest by her and her five or six kids. A 'monster' from outer space smells the chili and comes for a taste. The pictures are colorful and fun, and the story is fun to read. We recommend it!

How could she afford to welcome him home? From back cover:
Amanda had been dangerously naive the summer Drake Daniels raked in a cool ten thousand dollars for leaving her family's Georgia estate and disappearing into the night without her. His betrayal had nearly killed her. For six long years she'd fantasized about confronting him-to tell him exactly what she thought of him. But face-to-face her accusations were powerless. The sad truth was, her secret fantasies always ended the same impossible way-with her beating her fists on his hard chest and him holding her tightly, explaining, soothing away the anguish of the horrible years...

Who Was Benjamin Franklin

Terrific!I bought this book for my students reading about the American Colonies and Revolution. I didn't feel that I knew enough about Ben Franklin and needed to learn more. My students were facinated about him because he was an inventor and did the experiment with the key and the kite to learn about electricity. I learned so much from this book that I had never known before and the readabilty level is perfect for my students. I can't wait to share this book with them!
